Apparently the graphics on my layout have exhausted their bandwidth? I don't even have a photobucket account, so I have no idea what's up with that, or how to fix it (i.e., what the URL is in the layout code to change). I suppose I will start looking at new layouts when I get home tonight. Or sooner, if it really starts to bug me ( Read more... )

It may just be a Photobucket problem - I've seen it on a lot of people's layouts, and I know a bunch of Photobucket users are saying that they're getting messages about their bandwidth being gone despite it only being five days into the month.

It came and went all yesterday morning, so I ended up just uploading the graphics to my LJ scrapbook and replacing the URL in the code. (and, well, I changed my DW layout, but I'm still not sure I like that enough to stick with it.)

Yeah, mine is saying that too. It's happened to me before and it usually resolves itself within a couple hours. I think it must be some photobucket glitch, because there's no possible way the elements of my layout have exceeded bandwidth.

Well, mine were hosted by the layout's designer, so. I ended up shifting them to my LJ account. Hopefully that will solve the problem going forward.

Yeah, I saw that someone posted that down below. And I thought I had changed all my links, but when I went looking, I found two that were still pointing to her photobucket instead of mine.

Layout-wise, if you're using one of thefulcrum's layouts (as many do, myself included), grrliz posted that she's gone over her bandwidth for the month. Hence the layout graphics not showing up.

Easily solvable by making your own Photobucket account, uploading the images from your relevant layout(s) of choice to it, and then changing the CSS coding in your journal preferences. Don't worry if this sounds technical and/or complicated. I have no clue about this stuff, but Liz has some excellent step-by-step directions to follow.

Thanks for the heads up! I thought I had all my elements saved to my own photobucket, but I guess not.

This totally makes sense, though, since only some of them are coming up 'bandwidth exceeded'.

I shall fix mine posthaste.

Yeah, I ended up uploading them to my LJ scrapbook. I just had to search and replace the photobucket URLs.
