the only thing we were engaged in were shenanigans

Oh, Pushing Daisies, I missed you SO MUCH. Your bright colors, your wacky murders, your double entendres, your quickfire witty repartee! The Aunts! The nuns! Snook & Cod! The Coroner! Pies with ridiculous names! Characters with even more ridiculous names! Plus, George Segal, for whom I've always had a soft spot ( Read more... )

LITERALLY the only thing that I thought was missing from season 2 was the crankypants coroner, and then there he was! Emerson was in rare form with the tongue-twisters, and I really liked that there was some moving forward on the Ned/Olive situation. Though I do wish that we could have gotten Alfredo back for Olive, instead of saddling her with Randy Mann (I don't even remember if he was already pining for her in the ep he originally appeared in). And I have to admit that I would have liked the other baby!Olive better, as she had more of that Savannah Smiles look, and I just thought she got Olive better.

But the show is BACK and I am clutching it to my bosom and wishing it never had to go away again. And Gina Torres NEXT WEEK!!!

And to quote Lily: "I'm going to bed."

Yeah, I feel the Randy Mann thing was pastede on, but I was glad to see them do some work on Ned/Olive, and that Emerson and Chuck got to work together.

And Gina Torres NEXT WEEK!!!

SO EXCITING!

I feel the Piemaker and the Middleman should meet.

YOU SHOULD TOTALLY WRITE THIS.

I will keep it in mind. Possibly once I have both dvd sets, it could happen. Or I could request it at yuletide and we could both hope someone else wrote it.

I agree! So fun! So sad that so few others realized it!

Seriously! I think they did a really good job of sustaining a difficult tone over the short course of the series and I'm sad there won't be more.

I smiled through the whole episode, until the very end when I, once again, realized how sad I was the show was going away. *sniffle*

Yeah, I was very happy until I realized that there were only two episodes left. Sigh.
