( It's dark and they're in a hurry, so neither of them notices it at first, the way Dean's shadow lags, spooling out behind him like a sweater unraveling. )

Y'know, I love that Dean claims not to know who Dick Van Dyke is, but he goes right for the Peter Pan reference.

Because he won't grow up. :^D

He won't! And after some of the references he made in last night's ep, I refuse to believe he doesn't know who Dick Van Dyke is. He was just yanking Sammy's chain there.

I enjoyed this. I like the whole imagery of the shadow detaching and Sam sewing it back up again.
