I can not even begin to tell you how hilarious this question is, but a little interwebs research has turned up the answer. Despite fozzie claiming in a tvguide interview that his hat was a "crushed fedora", the jim henson company has stated that it is, in fact, a porkpie hat "except around miss piggy." No way he wears a porkpie. His hat is squished in on the top not flat like a porkpie. I'm not sure about fedora vs trilby, but I think the brim is not that wide so I went with trilby.

I gotta say, just from the front, that picture looks like what a porkpie hat would look like on the head of somebody with really tall ears. The brim can't possibly stick straight out! The ears are in the way.
