I'd also hoped to be done with the sekrit incest baby fic today, but since I got distracted, that's not happening either. I am up to the reunionating porn, though, which is making me happy

So sometimes there are stories I'm telling myself on my commute and they are total drawer fic and just like you, I keep getting hung up on the parts I can't make work with reality, as it were, even as I'm thinking "and then there was a BABY and AMNESIA" but you know, I need it to be in the realm of in-character, too. DAMN IT.

It's crazymaking, because I'm like, 'Dude, you don't have to make it all make sense, you're not writing it,' but I still get hung up on things sometimes, because seriously, if girl!Sam gets pregnant, other people are eventually going to notice, and wonder what's going on. And while part of me wants to be able to handwave that away, I can't. Sigh.

Possibly I will figure it out, and be able to write the story.

I think it's, you know, the function of how we both think and think these things through and even when we're just going straight for the awesome! love! stories, can't turn off that canon thing. but that makes it sweeter when you make it work!

I won't write the big long Mary Sues, but sometimes I turn the happy commuting thoughts into fic, if the fantasy can support a narrative.
