2. i just watched BSG Exodus 1&2 and man, it made me cry. SO AWESOME. SO HEARTBREAKING.

Isn't it? It's not official yet, but all signs point to it becoming so, so I am cautiously optimistic.

Oh, and also, you know what made me cry? Watching the Galactica jump into atmo on New Caprica. How fucking BADASS and AWESOME is that? That whole sequence just kills me.

I KNOW! The day I bring home the S3 set, I'm going to watch that scene first, probably about 78 times. That bright yellow flash as the ship materializes in the atmosphere is amazing. (Also amazing? Samuel Anders. Just thought I'd put that out there again.)

And Sam Anders is LOVE! SO MUCH LOVE OMG! How did they DO that? I was lukewarm on him at best, and then all of a sudden, he became AWESOME.

5. I miss that too! I also miss seeing episodes end on a vaguely happy note, like they did back then, with the folks they saved thanking them, and exchanging meaningful looks and whatnot. They need to be patted on the back. Like fo' serious.

There is an unrelenting bleakness because of the demon war and Dean's deal coming due, and I miss the feeling that they were making a difference, even if nobody really knew about it - it gave them some satisfaction. Sigh.
