The "Morning Has Broken" scene made me cry and cry. Seriously, this show.

I love Ned and Chuck A LOT, and somehow, I love Olive and the aunts even more. But nowhere as much as I love Emerson, who's the AWESOMEST.

So, out of curiosity, if I were to start watching "Pushing Daisies," would I be all confused, or would it be easy to catch up?

Well, the previouslies explain everything you need to know, though I'm sure there are also places to -ahem- acquire the aired episodes, so I think you'd pick it up pretty easily mid-stream, though the earlier episodes are totally worth seeing. It's very whimsical, but with a nice streak of morbid running through it.

Sounds right up my alley. And a lot of people whose opinion I trust have been raving about it. I think I'll give it a try next week.

You should! I admit, I was turned off by the hype before the season started, and thought it would be too twee, but I am so glad I started watching it.

Dude, the whole time she's pitching the individual pies, I was like, "Um...Tarts? Tarts? Hello, they're called tarts!"

I continue to LOVE that they're allowing the multi-talented Kristen and Ellen to exercise their range by incorporating musical numbers. It's fab.

And Chi McBride rox my world. POP-UP BOOKS! He's so utterly fabulous.

I also take it that Paul Rubens is going to be a recurring character?

*nod nod*

But I guess they needed to be whimsical. Though I think they could have gotten a lot of mileage out of tart jokes. Possibly I am a 12yo boy at heart.

I can't imagine another show where that would work, but here it just *does*.

That's what I've heard.
