You know, I feel for Pats fans (though the hilarity of the sports guy on Newsradio-88 comparing them to the Yankees [i.e., so dominant everyone who doesn't love them hates them, which just so isn't so the way it is for the Yankees] will never EVER get old), but um, I just don't get the Peyton hate. I mean, sure he's overhyped, but it's the NFL.

The Pats don't run around spending money on over-hyped, under-achieving glory hounds. They just win. They actually do all the things that other teams would get respect for, but then people whine because they do it too much. That makes no sense to me. I mean, I am fine with saying that it gets old watching them win all the time but to actively hate them for it makes no sense to me ( ... )

I guess in two weeks we shall see whether he can truly overcome his demons and win a Superbowl on his own terms. At the moment the thing I'm most focused on is thanking the heavens that last night's game didn't come down to an Adam Vinatieri field goal. That, far more than just the Colts winning, would have been completely unbearable. ;)

I tend to put him in the same category as A-Rod: how can someone who is that good choke so spectacularly in all the key situations?
Yeah, I don't hate A-Rod, though I find him inexplicable and amusing, but I am a Mets fan, so. That does color things.

Yeah, I get why that would have totally been hard to choke down.

"You still have the best arm in the neighborhood, Johnny!"
Manning beat us fair and square yesterday, and he wasn't a jerk about it, so what can I hate him for?
There are apparently reasons *points up* but as an NFC fan, I haven't really paid them much attention.
