How far pre-everything are we doing?

[It was rare that he fell asleep or even into a light doze in a place that wasn't his room, but the Crow found himself drifting off in a small alcove with a bench. He had settled in to read and the day simply caught up with him. His head is tucked in a corner, tilted slightly back with the book dangling from his fingers. [It quite possibly is the smell of blood, though it's rather faint. He To his credit, he tries to keep the scent off of himself - people don't much like it if you smell like you've just eaten, after all - but perhaps there are just some things that get ingrained in.]

[He creeps from rafter to rafter until he lands softly, several feet away from Chase, and slinks forward to gently take the book out from Chase's fingers.]

[It's familiar enough that it keeps him in the light doze, on his toes and alert. But he's still sleeping enough that Aiden shouldn't expect him to wake, blame it being on the battlefield for so long if you wanted. But now it's so familiar that he doesn't right wake at it at first like most might.

He wakes a tick or two at feeling his book disappear from his hand, fingers twitching and Chase makes a sleepy grunt. Recognizing more of Aiden's personal scent now that it's closer.]

[The book slips free and he tucks it into the pocket of his cloak. Not sure what it is he's just pulled out from Chase's hand, but he'll investigate later. Right now, he's smirking to himself as he leans in a little, on the verge of touching his nose to the other's.]

[It was just a small book on diseases and things of that nature, just caught his eye, the title. Sometimes he doesn't even draw on what he learns until years later when he's almost forgotten it.

He's almost waking. The lingering feeling of something in front of his face almost feels like a feather. Chase's brow wrinkles]
