There is really not much I can add to all the comments before. It is true that Brian is a difficult character to get right and you do it so very well, but, really, what I see here is all the characters being spot on, right down to Carl, who I can totally see developing into the role you’ve given him.

The writing style is just on the right side of humorous, which just makes the poignant moments stand out more. So far, I have shied away from writing in the third person myself, but it looks like it can be done. And brilliantly so. I might give it a go after all.

Your story is a true gem. I love it. I’m in awe of it. And look forward to more. Hopefully soon.

It's interesting how few third person QAF fics. It seems everyone really likes 1st and 2nd person. Coming from HP fandom, I have to say that this is totally the opposite. There are different kinds of third person writing. I tend to lean towards 3rd person restrictive myself because it feels a lot more like first person. And I like giving my reader complete access to only one character. It makes things more interesting that way. You should definitely give it a shot! I promise it's not as intimidating as it may seem. :)
