Oh, that was wonderful! It was such a nice scene between the two of them, really and Trevor really is extremely likeable :) I also liked Brian's: Loving Justin didn't have to mean wasting away philosophy.

Thank you! I'm very happy you found Trevor likable, as that's one of the things I've worried most about. You're supposed to like him--at least that's my intention--but there's always that fear that it won't translate into writing.

Well, I prefer them together too, but sometimes stuff just happens. :) Trust me when I say that this is very much a Brian/Justin fic, and it'll remain that way!

As much as B/OC makes me want to puke, I like this! And I like it for two reasons:

1) It's a brilliant 'shoe-on-the-other-foot' scenario. Now he knows how Justin felt all those years ago.

2) It's sad because it illustrates how lonely Brian is and how much he misses Justin, just like the beginning of S3.

You know, it makes me really happy that you said that! I figure a lot of people often feel that aversion to Brian/Other, but I kind of want to do something different with Brian/Trevor. He's not supposed to be a threat, like some OMCs in some fic, and I think that makes the Brian/Trevor in TAC much more palatable. :)

usually when I read something like this I feel a pang of jealously for Justin, I can't help it but for some reason here no, Brian loves Justin and if he thinks he will never have him back the normal thing to do is to try and get on with his life, that doesn't mean that he will fall in love again or anything and I think if he chooses Trevor for a fuck buddy is because he will never be Justin so Brian will never have a chance to fall in love for him, he is playing safe

I did! I've said a million times that stuff that gets brought up in comments sometimes ends up in the fic/one-shots, hahaha.

Trevor is supposed to be likable, so I'm glad that came across. The Trevor here is very much the Trevor that will show up in the next chapter. While I won't give anything away about the Trevor-Justin meeting, I will say that I don't think you'll be disappointed in Trevor. He's lived with the knowledge of Justin for a very long time, and he understands that Justin is someone very special to Brian. There's something in Trevor's past that's happened that makes him appreciate that special place Justin has in Brian's life. There's definitely some resentment at times between Brian and Trevor, but it's never been about Justin. Promise!
