Thanks for the positive feedback. :-) Yes- that last one is one of my favorites. I look at it every day and it especially has helped me through hard times.
if it's ok with you i my write those words on my chalkboard in my studio... i just realized i don't know your 'real world' name!!! i would, of course, write your name under the quote.
Thanks! Self portraits are very healing to create. Lately, I find that I end up painting more of what's inside of me than my actual outer appearance. Inner self-portraits...works for me! ;-)
Madonna/Whore...Now that's a theme that's ripe for the picking- Go for it!!!!
Isn't she great? I should have NEVER sold her. I even thought that at the time I painted her. Conner begged me not to sell her and I did because I needed the money for art supplies. :-( I don't even have a good picture of her because we used our old crappy digital camera back then.
If I started another faces series- Would you rather see them on canvas or Arches paper? I used to paint my series on 11 x 14 canvas. What do you think about the size?
11x14 or 16 x 20 and canvas definately...I love the colors in the painting and the red "rays" They don'e even have to be self portraits, you just have a very nice graphic way with female faces that I am "drawn" to. I have a friend in Indy who only paints women. I tend to think though that they ARE all self portraits no matter how different they look. http://www.dinkie.tv/
