A great response

It's not the best Doonesbury ever, but I'm going to save this last line and use it when appropriate. Seems the perfect response to "get over it."

I've stopped watching the news. They are reaching a level of suckitude that has never been paralleled in the history of journalism, and I am including the great hoover vacuum cleaning implosion of 1976. Much suckier than that. You would think that walking off a cliff hand in hand with georgie boy and his 20% approval rating would snap them out of it, but they have industrialized the news like our fast food and SUV's, and will pull for the corporate candidate 10 times out of ten. My only question is if they know how far into bizarro world there are. Its not the world that's screwed up, its the television.

But as far as Obama and McCain, I am not worried. Its August (AUGUST!!) and the election is in november - do you know anyone who is stupid enough to vote for McCain who is smart enough to plan that far ahead? The answer to that rhetorical question is no. So relax, stop watching the news, and stay positive.

Oh, and as they say here in Chicago, vote early, vote often.
