I have not yet voted. But I'm going for Obama, too. Hillary is too unpopular to win the general election, and I just want the Clintons to go away. Frankly, we've had enough white trash in the White House.
I don't see any way Hillary can win the general election. She has something like 40% of the electorate who swear they will never vote for her, ever, under any circumstances. There are more folks who won't consider voting for Hillary than there are who won't consider voting for a black dude.
I feel the same way about Bill and Hill that Republicans must have felt about McCarthy and Nixon -- I appreciate your stance, I agree with your positions, but you're not putting our best foot forward and YOU ARE NOT HELPING.

This is the stat I'm most curious about, because I've heard this argument both ways. I'm offended that it even comes down to that - but we do have a grand tradition of voting AGAINST, rather than voting FOR.

CNN is projecting Obama to win GA. ZOMG!!!!1! I AM MADE OF WIN!!
First time I've picked a winner since 1996. I voted for Gore thrice (1988 primary [my first vote] -- 2000 primary, 2000 general), and if Edwards hadn't dropped out last week, I would have chucked a second vote his way.
I have to laugh, because the only alternative is to cry.
Not sure you're in the minority... Either way, I think it's going to be a tight race. Hillary has a lot of legit qualifications and I can understand why someone would vote for her. I'm just hoping more vote for Obama :-)
your not the minority.. I had a world of suck when I lost Giulliani..so I voted for Hilary because I want stem cell research. I think all people vote not for America but for personal reasons. I mean if I wanted to vote for America I would have voted for Huckabee because he is in to "Fair Tax" but he is also a pro-life jesus freak. Anyway.. I wish I could have just voted NO NO NO and NO and NO NO and NO..but there is no line to fill in the Dali Lama.. so *grrrr
My step mother LOVED Bill Clinton.. Still does. I assumed she was a Hillary fan as we.. So, for Christmas I was going to order a couple Obama Christmas Ornaments to sneak on her tree.. When I told her of my canceled plot, she told me that she wished I had, and that she was an Obama supporter now
( ... )
I loved Bill Clinton. I still do, but in that fond way one looks at an ex and thinks wow, we had such a great time together, but I'm sure glad we didn't get married.
But I'm not a Hillary supporter.
That being said, I WILL support her if she is the Democratic nominee. I don't think she'd be any worse than any of the other candidates, and I have to admit I'm curious to see how she would attempt to dig us out of these 8 years of quagmire.
I could be wrong here, but with McCain seeming the Republican candidate elect I'm more hopeful than I once was that Obama can win. McCain just seems vulnerable to me. Too long of a voting record. Too many flip-flops on issues. Too many conservatives speaking out against him.
I agree that Hillary is the less electable of the two democratic front-runners. I have many female friends here in Mass. who are passionate about politics, devoted Democrats, and I don't know a single one of them who likes Hillary. Obama plays far better here in Massachusetts in my political circles, although you wouldn't know that from last night's vote.
Yeah, what happened to the Obama votes in Massachusetts? I'm disappointed more of you didn't turn out...
But I agree - I think Obama has a shot at beating McCain, and I'm not sure Hillary does. One of the guys on my trivia team last night said he would vote for Obama with no problem; but if Hilary gets the nomination, he'll vote for the Republican or abstain.
The anti-Hilary-ites are VERY passionate. Haven't heard anyone passionately anti-Obama.
