My step mother LOVED Bill Clinton.. Still does. I assumed she was a Hillary fan as we.. So, for Christmas I was going to order a couple Obama Christmas Ornaments to sneak on her tree.. When I told her of my canceled plot, she told me that she wished I had, and that she was an Obama supporter now.
I am hopeful, that if she was losing these kinds of supporters before Christmas her battle may have already been lost.
What does scare me are the super delegates.. and what they are going to do in the convention... This thing may not be resolved for a very long time.
As for the people in this country that wont vote for Obama because of race.. There are many. I've met several of them over the last 4 years. More than I had hoped I would.. But far fewer than I expected. I do think he can win the popular vote, and I don't think there has been a better time for a black Democrat to do it.
And I really can't see ANY Hilary voters voting for McCain just to vote against Obama. He doesn't have the Haters, and he just isn't as divisive as she is.
I loved Bill Clinton. I still do, but in that fond way one looks at an ex and thinks wow, we had such a great time together, but I'm sure glad we didn't get married.
But I'm not a Hillary supporter.
That being said, I WILL support her if she is the Democratic nominee. I don't think she'd be any worse than any of the other candidates, and I have to admit I'm curious to see how she would attempt to dig us out of these 8 years of quagmire.
