Well, the short of it is that if you have Goody's stores around there, I've had wonderful experiences getting great undergarments there, as have other women I know--sexy stuff of all varieties at very low prices... anyway, the Asheboro one is awesome, actually, and WS was not terrible, though when we went, it was terribly disorganized in the areas we were looking... but I've gotten very positive feedback from... well... a few young men... regarding the laced, strapped, designed, sparkling, jeweled, meshy, flirty, camo... I've had lots of stuff from there for very little money (bras, too, in lots of pretty colors, despite it being really hard to find 32s in large cup sizes), and what I've gotten from there holds up pretty well, too, except for one pair that the old agitator style washer decided was its play toy :)
I know we have Goodys here, but no idea where. I was considering VS because there is one near where we're having auditions today and also I have over $100 in store credit. Though I have to admit that I've gotten good stuff at Target myself. I do wish we still had Fredericks, they have definitely upgraded their selections.
Of course, I'm still trying to figure out what to wear...
Hey, with $100 in store credit, you can definitely doll it up at VS-they occasionally have real clothes and accessories, too, that are pretty hot for holidays in particular... are you supposed to be all "party" looking, or is it more like something for that awesome dress you got in the mail (the patterned brown/beige one) when I was there?
Yes, the VS catalog definitely has some nice stuff clothes-wise. It's actually where I got my jeans (that they no longer have in 36" inseam *pouts*).
Well, the jury is kind of out on what the dress code is. It's a slightly casual restaurant that we are going to but we're going to be in a private room. Basically, the boss said, wear what you would to a dinner party. But since it's the holidays, us women, are taking the opportunity to wear nicer stuff. I'm not going to wear the brown dress since I actually wear that one to work (and get lots of complements on it too). I was thinking the black velvet VS short dress or a black velvet top and black velvet mini skirt. Either way, John will like what I have on.

Sounds like you're getting settled in just fine. I'm very jealous of your Kitchen Aid. Sigh. Some day...
Good luck on your potential date.
Anyway, I have a couple of clues that might be useful when you're searching for Pete's Christmas gift. He's in **desperate** need of a new wallet. Also, new sweaters in XL-Tall or XXL are always a good thing for him. If you need more ideas, let me know.
As for me, I'm not quite sure. That's not helpful, I know. Ask Pete--he'll probably have a few ideas.
We found a great gift for you. I hope you'll like it.

Yes, I do like the Kitchen Aid. It's sad, but I got it for a grad school graduation gift back in 1992 and I can count on one hand how many times I've used it due to apartments with no counter space or outlets. The new place is loaded with counter space and outlets.
The dinner went just fine and John was good eye candy and we did manage to avoid the question of "So how long have you been dating" and all that. So that was good.
I figured that sweaters and shirts are always good choices for Pete. Though I did not know about the wallet. So as Mom says, "I will take it under advisement".
I'm sure I can come up with something for you. *grin*
I'm glad that someone reads my blog. I think I'm down to about 3 readers, which is fine since I mostly use it as a journal for me anyway.
