Living near Boston gives me a new appreciation of the idea "Today everyone's Irish." Also, why are there so many fabulous bands, the names of which I am unfamiliar with?

Time for a little Pogues and Flogging Molly, I think. And where are my Dubliners mixes...?

Here's the thing. If I snag, I comment. That's it. If you don't see my comment, I haven't downloaded. Which means I spend months between downloading stuff.

But I love watching trends. What's popular now -- what's going to be popular... it's all there.

(Secondary upside: Then I get to feel smug about predicting what's coming up. Ha.)

I wish I had more music in my life. Or rather, I wish I had time for more music. I do love singing, though. Voice lessons would possibly not go amiss.

iTunes now works on the laptop! Me for the WIN.

You know what's missing from this world? A wedding music comm. Like, someone out there has to have a decent copy of "Hava Nagila." SOMEONE. In regular wedding comms I see all sorts of people trying to go the "iPod wedding" route and not have a clue where to start ( Read more... )
