Hmmm I think it's time to upgrade my monitor a little. I have a big screen but it's pretty old, and it's not the best quality. When I look at dark stuff on the screen I often cant see subtle differences in colors after a while, which really sucks ( Read more... )

My work screen is a 19" HP L1950 flat panel display, which seems normal to me in terms of colour. It's also got a cool feature where you can turn it to portrait display, whee!
They cost between $373 and $499 according to Shopbot.

If I was looking for a 22", I'd be very tempted by the HP L2245w - they are currently between $544.75 and $603 on Shopbot. This is meant to have awesome colour reproduction.

Oooh I didnt know about Shopbot, thanks!! I found the L2245w on Ebay for like $340. Odd it would be so cheap, it might not have the 3 year warranty or something...

If it has the HP warranty then it's a great buy.

I has a 22" Dell at work and a 19" Dell at home. I love them both equally because I am not a size queen.

Size matters! More desktop space = More time between desktop declutterings!
And more things open all at once!! *GLEE*

I don't care about physical dimensions - give me PIXELS :)

(Why yes, I did run my last CRT at around 130ppi and frequently edited documents in a 6 point font. If only Apple made a higher res 13" laptop I'd be so there..)
