I had my first day of work today. Last week I had been accepted for a temporary job at Staples, as a seasonal customer service person. I only had a four hour day, mostly spent shadowing a more experienced employee and then having her keep an eye on me while I flew semi-solo, so it'll be interesting to see how I adjust to a full 8-hour day after so ( Read more... )

Yesterday I had an interview with Staples for a job, I have go to back on Tuesday to meet with the manager (I met with the two asst. managers yesterday). The sudden change from winter to spring or almost summer around here in Jersey has got me thinking about my current state of life. As if today wasn't going poorly enough, I just got laid off from my job. I don't actually get the axe until the end of December, but still it's not a great thing. Hopefully God will bring something good out of this, but honestly I don't need this stress right now.

This day really isn't going well.

Yup, still in pain. Actually I'm not as much in pain as I was yesterday, but I think that my knee is still swollen which means that I can't move it as much as I should be able to. I woke up this morning with the worst pain in my right knee. It still hurts like hell, and I've had to limp around all the way to work and I'll probably have to do so all day around the office and then back home at 5. So I finally got my paid status renewed after a week or so of having lapsed. I'm glad to have my user icons back, although I certainly paid for it.
