Shannon's not dead yet. I don't think it makes much sense in the plot to kill her when her brother was the other main cast member to die. Sawyer is just barely holding on too and, of course, one of the back of planers is also missing and presumed dead (or wishing she was) and it'd be just like hollywood writers to promise a death and deliver the death of an unimportat new character.
