Ode to an avocado

So lush and green I wanted to eat,
An avocado oh what a treat!
Skin slightly bumpy and shaped like a testicle,
Paired with tomato and bacon oh what a spectacle!
I barely got my fill,
When you made my dinner partner ill,
So only alone can I now savor,
