*hugs* Aw, thanks! The training really did help to make me feel empowered to intervene. I guess once you realize you have permission to act and that it can make a difference for someone experiencing harassment, it doesn't have to be wholly a conscious decision to intervene.

One thing that I felt was particularly validating in the training was the emphasis on trusting your instincts in any given situation. If your gut says there's something off about that dude trying to chat up that woman who clearly wants to be left alone, it's completely, 100% fine to interrupt him by, say, pretending you know the woman. And even if you read the situation incorrectly, the woman is likely to appreciate that you tried to help her, because what women hasn't had an uncomfortable experience with a guy in a public place and wished someone would help?
