Father's Day
Yes, alright, it was a week ago, but since then I've been meaning to post a pic of the artwork wasup_bro gave me so that remote friends can see it (and also coz I is a proud dad). So here it is :
I also got a cute black cat and an Emerson, Lake, & Palmer DVD.
Last night in one of those series of surprising linkages, I had this huge sense of connectedness.
It was started when danjite posted about receiving the Hugo award for frankwu. Now, I believe danjite first linked into my Flist due to connections with rivet and tatjna, i.e: dancers, burners, and people from Thailand, etc. However as I went and scrolled thru Frank Wu's website, I came to the point where he was receiving an award at NorEasCon 4. And in the text below he speaks of receiving said award from Norman Cates, whom a whole pile of other people on my flist know, including some who live with him!

Oh, and I'm going on a date tonight. It's the first time I've done something like this in a while. It feels a little odd.
