What I learned this weekend

So we were at the Stone Mountain Laser show this weekend. Mostly just corny fun, but there's some fascinating propaganda and spin in there. For example, as near as I was able to tease out the narrative from the little cartoon that animates the carving to the tune of Elvis' "American Trilogy:"

Good grief; the paragraph you cite lays it on pretty thick. Was it penned by a little old lady who never got ovah the Waw of Nawthun Aggreshun?

Edit: paragraph. That's the second typo I've made tonight. Must slow down the typing just a tad. :)

Ha ha, naw man he's narrating what he sees in the laser show. And I really can't fault this interpretation either, although I guess I never really thought about it. Beaker, you have to bring more booze than this into the laser show with you; I can tell you were too sober.

Heh, no kidding. It was perfect weather, light breeze, comfy lawn chairs, few mosquitoes... and no one had a pitcher of margaritas. It was a shame.
