What kind of world do we live in?

In the US there are many cases of guys who go on psychotic rampages with shotguns...while it is true that the vast majority of them have had untreated psychological issues, and this is a major failing of our society that not enough is done to make sick people get help if they cannot recognize on their own that they need that help, none of them were ever called heroes. Heroes face their problems and try to overcome them, and they get over it and move on if their girlfriends don't want them back.

Exactly my thoughts. They are saying that he was a victim before this happened. Had he just attacked one person, it might have been arguable to say he made a mistake. Not that I think that, mind you. People who do things like this, shouldn't be given excuses. We are all responsible for our own behaviour..
