there are definitely weirdos out there... one time this telemarketer called in the morning about offering the paper, and i still had my morning deep voice... she was like maybe i could come over, LOL

lately with all the "crap" going around my neighbourhood i don't even answer the doorbell unless i know the person is coming over. no joke.

he might have thought you were a little kid when you said your parents make the decisions. "your parents? - wow, ya sound like an adult to me...i didn't know"

i'd say he was just trying to make the sale. they are trained to ask for a better time to call, etc.

actually the home alone part was a bit weird now that I think about it.

A lot of my friends tend to back out. Like for instance when some friends and I purchased tickets to watch Dave Chappelle in Reno. I had purchased tickets for the show including airfare because I just didn't want to make the drive. Well, just to let you know my friends flaked and I had to get rid of the tickets.

So I'm still considering going for NYE if you guys are going to be around. Maybe just for a few days because I really hate traveling by myself. I'll keep you posted. I was looking into the hotels you recommended and some of them are actually very reasonable.
