Instead, I offer a curiosity-piquing quote. "Within twenty seconds of Jane's kidnapping, the first worried member of the public had noticed strange goings-on around the area of page one hundred and seven of their deluxe hide-bound edition of Jane Eyre."
I find this a most intriguing sentence and am now very curious about the rest of the book. Might it be possible to borrow that book after you've finished reading it? I would, of course, take very good care of it whilst it was out of your presence.
Certainly you can borrow it! I think of all people I can trust you to treat a borrowed book well. :-) I've actually read it a couple times already, so you can borrow it any time--I'll bring it with me when I come down to dinner.
I will warn you, though, it is rather...bizarre, but bizarre in a good way Have you ever read any of Douglas Adams' work? Eyre Affair is similarly odd.
Though it does take place in a kind of alternate universe where books are highly valued and authors are superstars, something which will appeal to any booklover. :-) It also helps if you know a fair bit about Muggle classic literature, especially Jane Eyre, but it will still mostly make sense even if you haven't.
Thank you, Eve. It does sound very interesting, the one sentence that you posted in your journal immediately caught my attention. I look forward to reading it.

I wanted to reference Prof. Berger helping Goyle set up his Live Journal and figure out his computer. Among the things he would want would be a bookmark of the online dictionary and a means of putting artwork online. If you want to role play this, please email me and let me know. -telos

Feel free to have Eve tutoring Goyle on the computer. For an artwork gallery, she'd probably recommend something like Yahoo!Photos, something not requiring HTML knowledge, and which he can add to his "info" page on LJ. Unfortunately I can't RP it at the moment--crunch time at university and I really shouldn't be spending as much time online as I am! Feel free to mention Eve in journal entries though! She's usually pretty patient and pretty good at hiding frustration when she's trying to teach something.

Thanks. No need to rp it now or even ever. We can if you want to when you have the time tho. I just needed some one to guide him in how to use the thing. I thought you might be the best choice for that and I didn't want to put words in your mouth. -tel/goyle
