This certainly has been a stressful past couple of days. Everyone in the castle seems rather off. I'm hoping that things will calm down throughout this week, and settle into the usual state of affairs, but then I know there are some things which one can never quite recover from, where it's incredibly naive to hope that "everything will go back to ( Read more... )

You mean we still have to hand them in on Friday? But Miss, there's been so much going on, and well I've lost my glasses- and i cant do much reading without getting a headache- but if you really want the essay in on friday then i will have it in.

Hope your feeling better.

Miss Branstone;

First things first--remember to breathe. :-)

I do understand how stressful a time this is for all the students. Unfortunately, for those classes that have an essay due on Friday, the deadline has to remain the same, as my marking schedule is fairly tight if I'm to get your marks posted before Easter break.

However, I do know how much of an annoyance it is to lose one's glasses, and as you need them for reading, I am willing to consider an extension, with a small late penalty. I'm not condoning carelessness, but it is really in my best interest that you be able to read your own writing, as it will make it much easier for me to mark. I have also taken into consideration the fact that you have handed in all your previous essays on time and have met my requirements with each.

Remember, it's only a 12-inch report on your first book you need to have done at this point, so you may want to focus on that rather than trying to read the other books for my class.

Come see me after classes tomorrow and we can discuss this.
