The fragility of modern life

I discovered today just how fragile our modern life is when I opened my computer and... things were gone, so far unrecoverable. Things that might not seem important in the greater moving of the universe, but to me meant so much. I think part of my heart broke.

It it horrible, isn't it? I have learned my lesson, the hard way. Hopefully the positive energy will help, I have been a little on the despair side today *hugs back*

Oh honey I know just how upsetting that can be. It's even worse that we know it isn't the most important thing in the world but.... I cried when it happened to me.

I hope you didn't lose anything really personally important.

How was the holiday?

It is so upsetting! I might have shed a few tears.

The last two years we went on holiday in England in August. I didn't know it was possible for it to rain *that* much for a whole week at a time!

We have had so much rain this year! I can't believe it. Even for here, it is extreme. Every day. (Okay, I think we had one dry day) but the other days are making up for it! We've even had flash floods. And right now? Yeah, it's raining.

My heart breaks for you - I know what is on my computer and how I'd feel if I lost it all. There aren't words. I have all my good thoughts now going to your getting everything back.

We are working on getting it back. It's devastating, I think I had a Dean wooble chin there for awhile.
