The fragility of modern life

I discovered today just how fragile our modern life is when I opened my computer and... things were gone, so far unrecoverable. Things that might not seem important in the greater moving of the universe, but to me meant so much. I think part of my heart broke.

So sorry to hear that! I had a computer crash on me two years ago and we were very afraid we lost some family photos and such (and some of my fan fiction) but luck had it that my beta's had copies and a computer geek friend of hubby's got our pictures so I hope it works out for you!

I certainly learned the back up everything a million times. Luckily, some of the stuff is still out there in the hands of others!
