[Concerned Kairi watches, frowning slightly, though she's not sure what do say.]

... You okay?

[considering the dream, he looks perfectly content, save for that curve of a sneer partially hidden by the angle itself.]

Just fine, thanks. Just my father visiting me subconsciously, after all.

Ah... right.

[It's in her nature to want and make everything better, but she doesn't know the guy well enough.]

What... exactly did you do that's so wrong?

[truly unfortunate, especially since he's not in the mood to let people get to know him, per se.]

In general, I made the wrong sort of friends.

...That was your father?

[He's starting to understand some of Draco's attitude now.]

Well, it wasn't my mother, by any means. [doesn't it all make sense now~?]

[Yes, yes it does. He frowns slightly.]

Quite so. I am afraid I do not entirely understand why he seems to think that you have been doing wrong.

Because rarely do I ever live up to Malfoy expectations, of course. I'm not the top of my class and I was made Seeker in second year, rather than first.

And now I'm shirking my duties for some vacation to a dream world. How exactly he's privy to all this is beyond me, though - he's in Azkaban.

Do you think that your life is your own, Malfoy-kun?

Reply

mudbloodhater June 22 2010, 00:27:44 UTC
It could be. Or it could be a culmination of everything my father has aimed for all his life.

[Of course. Draco is sort of dodging the question, but that's no problem.] What would you wish for it to be?

Reply

mudbloodhater June 22 2010, 01:53:51 UTC
Not what it is. [a plain and simple answer, if not mostly vague. He shrugs.] Do you have the perfect sort of life you imagined for yourself?

Draco-kun...

That's what your father is like?

Reply

mudbloodhater June 22 2010, 00:28:45 UTC
What else would my father be like, Takuma? Some Muggle-loving sop who gave everything for his family and those around him? No, sorry to break it to you, he's not Arthur bloody Weasley.

Oh my...

So I take it he wouldn't approve of our friendship.

Ah well...Not like he could do much about it here, yes?

[Defiant towards controlling authority much?]

We can only hope, really.

[Draco doesn't much like controlling authority either. But sometimes authorities must be listened to.]

[This dream catches his attention because...his father was very much like that.]

He's pleasant.

mudbloodhater June 22 2010, 18:07:52 UTC
Oh yes. The most pleasant of pleasant. Practically defines the word.

My own was like him.

So we've got something in common, then.
