They may sound alike, but there's a difference. Can you try to answer, or would you really prefer not to? [He's not going to withhold it, but if he does it now, it might change Draco's answer. So he is keeping it, but not for too bad a reason.]
[His look seem to soften, as if he did get something good out of this.]
Still, I think that this would mean that more than wishing to be seen and loved as a Malfoy, you would just like to be loved as your father's son, and be seen as your own person. [Stating the obvious? Maybe so, but it's still good to have him confirm that Draco placed himself above his name, at least a little, consciously or not.]
Whether or not I want to be loved as my father's son, I'm still a Malfoy. I have to stand by our ideals and keep up our reputation, whether I'm in England or not.
Not many knows who a Malfoy is supposed to be here, though. If it's not something that you would personally want to hold onto at all cost, then would it really matter this much, in Somarium?
At all cost. [He adds mildly.] Just because you are born as something, doesn't mean that you must like it. Especially so, when what we gain by birthright is not something that we can choose, as opposed to the decisions that we may make, when living out our own lives.
It is unfortunate that your name conflicts with the experiences you've gained from living your own life, but they don't have to be mutually exclusive of each other, either. Plus, this isn't your world, so wouldn't it be alright, to take advantage of what you are stuck with, anyway?
Do you think that your life is your own, Malfoy-kun?

And what reason could you possibly have for knowing the answer to that? [by which he means, he has no idea.]
