Who: Shizuka Doumeki, Watanuki Kimihiro
When: ‘Tis complicated…after the first swimming lesson, after Himawari’s talk with Doumeki ^__^ Before the Halloween Dance announcement.
Where: From the hallway in the Boys’ dorms to the library.
What: Watanuki needs to go to the library. Doumeki wants to see Watanuki. Hence, a library meeting.

Watanuki was leaning against the wall in the hallway, no more nor less than exactly halfway between their rooms. His eyes were closed and his arms folded across his chest, partly because he didn't want to have to tell anyone who'd pass by why he was waiting here. But also...to try to figure out why he was so mad. It's not like Doumeki had said anything different from how he normally would--why did it bother him so much tonight? Was it because he'd made a conscious effort to be nice to the idiot, until he'd snapped? He hadn't meant to say it like that--it just...came out. He was so irritated since it didn't seem to matter to Doumeki when they went. Why di ( ... )

“…you said five minutes,” said Doumeki flatly, turning to lock the door before turning back to Watanuki. It wasn’t as cold as he thought it would be, though it might be different in the library. He didn’t want to bother going back in and getting a jacket, so as long as the temperature stayed like this, it was okay.

Watanuki's temper flared at that, and he got right up in Doumeki's face to yell... ("Yeah, but not at the expense of your health!!! Idiot!") ...and suddently realized that something smelled...nice.

Watanuki was sure he was doing an excellent impression of a red brick with dark weeds sticking out. And he felt like he'd just thrown said brick through the window of the principal's car as she'd walked up behind him.

He practically hopped backwards to increase the distance between them, almost losing his footing in the process. Now THAT would be a lovely addition to his recent missteps--first in the shower, now in the hallway. What next, a walk along the island's edge and he'd either fall to his death or drown?

While any normal human being would’ve stopped and commented, years spent at Watanuki’s side had long immunized Doumeki to any and all weird behavior the other may exhibit. And on Doumeki’s Watanuki Strangeness Scale, hopping back and forth for no obvious reason ranked a 4.

“Let’s go,” he said, deadpan, already walking off towards the library’s direction.
