What: Ukitake is teaching his first cooking class! Please don't stress him out too badly, he enjoys his lungs.

Rukia came into the classroom and gave a bow to Ukitake with a smile before taking a seat at the front of the room and setting her purse in the seat next to her. "Hello Taichou! You look well!"

He grinned back at her and motioned to the cake.

"Thank you, Rukia! You look good as well. Would you like some cake?"

"Oh! Ah..." She wasn't really in the mood for cake but she took a slice anyway, not wanting to offend him and took a bite. She smiled at him brightly. "It's good!"

"Ah, good afternoon!"

Watanuki entered the classroom and bowed to Ukitake-kyouju before setting his bag at the workstation nearest to the door. "I'm Watanuki Kimihiro. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu."

He tied his hair back and started putting on the apron he used when working at the shop. It felt weird to be wearing them other than there, and he idly wondered where Yuuko-san had run off to. He still needed to find out what happened to his roommate...

Rukia watched him with slightly wide eyes, crumbs sticking to her face from the cake she was eating. Did everyone wear things like that when cooking? She hadn't brought any clothes like that!

Watanuki caught the girl looking at him strangely, and tilted his head to the side. "Um, is something wrong?"

She looked back at him and shook her head. "No. You just... make a novice like myself feel unprepared."

Axel knew he'd picked the class to be in the moment he got a wiff of that chocolate cake. His memory couldn't place the smell, but that didn't bother him. Right now his brain was sending urgent signals to his stomach, and who was Axel to disobey?

Following his nose like a hound, the redhead closed in on the delightful scent, peeking his head inside the class room. The spacious room bid him enter, and Axel slipped inside with no sound, like a A class thief on the hunt. His nose twitched and if not dignified, would've started drooling.

"There's food in here," he announced as if no one else knew, looking around for his prize. If he didn't eat soon, he'd resort to cannibalism.

Rukia was brought out of her stupor when Axel entered and she smiled at him. "Axel-san! I didn't know you were taking Cuisine!"

"Heh, thank you. If it wasn't then I shouldn't be teaching this class, right? One of the students asked me to make him a cake...so I had nothing better to do this afternoon," he said as he went over to the board. He started to write down what looked like a recipie. He turned to the two new students with a smile of welcome.

"Welcome, welcome! Do help yourself to some cake. Or if you'd like anything else, I have an assortment of food in the refrigerator over there."

The redhead stared at her for a split second, placing the girl's face before remembering. He smiled charmingly, but there was a hungry edge to it. "How could I not take it? It has food." His explanation seemed sound in his mind. "... Where did you get that?" Openly staring at Rukia's piece of cake, Axel scruntized it. "Never seen anything like that before."

Watanuki tried not to stare at the redhead. He still wasn't sure how he felt about everything, but he did save her from drowing. He had to at least show his gratitude for that.

"Axel-san? I've been meaning to thank you for saving Himawari." He bowed, coming up with a serious expression on his face. "She's...very important to me."

Axel stopped in midbite, raising a thin, red eyebrow. "Did I really save her?" he mused. "I never thought she'd actually die...." Either way, he nodded at the gratitude. "It's fine. Looked like you would've handled things if I hadn't stepped in." He was telling the truth; the reason Axel had intervened was he owed Himawari for paying for his lunch, and he always paid debts back.

(OOC: WTF... I stuck at typing today. Owed, not OWNED. )

Watanuki flashed a small but incredibly sad smile, then walked back to his workstation. He turned on the faucet to wash his hands, lost in thought. Axel-san obviously didn't know about the curse, and he wasn't about to tell him how badly it should have gone, but didn't.

Running into class was the little captain, Hitsugaya. His heart pounded against his chest as he stood in the doorway, his bag slung over his shoulder. He lifted his head as he heaved with his breathing.

"Sorry Ukitake.... Been a busy day for me..." he muttered as he stepped inside, trying to collect himself before he stopped.... seeing the cake. He shook his head and looked around at the other students, holding tightly on his book bag.

"Hitsugaya Taichou! How are you?"

He perked up spotting who had called his name and smiled a bit, giving a small wave.

"Ah, Rukia. It's nice to see you." He readjusted his bag on his shoulder. "It's nice to see another familar face around here."

She nodded. It was nice, although she had already met so many nice people here. "It is nice to see you as well. I hope you have been enjoying yourself." instead of doing paperwork.
