It was the first nice day out that Hakuryuu had been able to go outside, and he was thoroughly enjoying it. The rainfall of food earlier had prevented him from joining Hakkai on any trips outside. One falling apple could have squished him to the ground. With the weather back to normal the dragon was free to fly around as he pleased. Hakuryuu stayed close to Hakkai, enjoying his master's company, but that didn't stop him from zooming around.

Hakuryuu was in the middle of doing just that when Sasuke suddenly appeared in the same area. The dragon let out a surprised ~kyuu!~ and tried to pull up. It was obvious that he wasn't going to make it in time though. "Hakuryuu!"

He had been given just a few seconds to acknowledge his surroundings and now already there was an obstacle? Sasuke didn't wait to fully examine this new threat, anticipating nothing short of a battle, as always. His and Kakashi's jutsu had gone awry; surely this was some sort of test.

One simple burst of chakra through his feet as he kicked off the ground sent him flying up and backward, the hand on his kunai pouch quickly freeing the flap before withdrawing a well-sharpened shuriken.

Sasuke sent it flying at the poor creature without a second thought.

~Kyuuu!~ Hakuryuu rolled in a panic to avoid the sudden attack. The dragon was used to being in the middle of battle zones, but that didn't mean he could dodge anything. He managed to get mostly out of the way, the shuriken only grazing his side before flying past.

"Hakuryuu!" Hakkai called out, his voice touched with worry. He took a half step to the side, allowing the weapon to fly a past him with an inch to spare. Hakuryuu darted to Hakkai's side and curled into Hakkai's arms, body trembling. Hakkai held the dragon protectively, but was focused intently on Sasuke. "Isn't that enough? Hakuryuu was hardly intending on harming you. I assure that that I have no intention to either."

If Sasuke was surprised by the fact that what was literally a miniature dragon had just flown into his face, it didn't show. Nothing showed, really, save for the slight tension in his legs and arms and the fraction of an inch that his eyes were narrowed.

"Identify yourself." He crouched where he had landed, a safe distance from the other and several feet up on a tree limb.

Teito hadn't been expecting to run into anyone when he'd turned his run into the park, much less someone completely unfamiliar. He didn't know everyone at Moksa personally, to be sure, but he at least knew them by sight. The boy standing in the park now was definitely new. Might as well say hello, Teito decided, heading for him. He'd probably need some questions answered anyway.

"Hey!"

The foreign voice cut through his thoughts like a knife, his head snapping to the side so he could take in this stranger. Other than that he remained still, the distance between them putting him mildly at ease.

Besides, what kind of idiot shouted at his opponent before picking a fight? He seemed harmless enough for now.

"... What is this place? This isn't Konoha."

"No more than it's Sixth District," Teito agreed, jogging to a stop in front of the other brunette. He gave the boy a quick once over, assessing. Trained fighter, probably favored speed. Some combat experience, but... not too much. Not when he was that jumpy. Possible sparring partner? Maybe. "Welcome to Moksa - I'm guessing you're a new arrival?"

He was sizing him up. Sasuke had seen that look plenty of times before, the brief flitting of a gaze from one part of the body to the next. Was he wrong to write him off so quickly?

"Why the hell am I here?" he asked smoothly, gaze condescending as usual. "And who are you?
