If after semester one, she was below some cumulative that put her on academic probation, they should've let her know. They never did. She was only first put on Academic Probation after the end of Spring term when her grades dropped. Summer semester is not enough time for a student to make sufficient academic progress, which is why if you're on probation, they won't lift it until the end of Fall term even if you do well in the summer.
Sooo, the summer classes shouldn't have counted against her in the fact that she didn't make it above the 2.0 since only 5 credits were acting in her favor, instead of a full load. In the end, it's a fuck up on their part... cumulative be damned. If they suspend her, it means they never gave her the probation period.
hell they put me on ac pro for first semester last year. that was for a BC in one class. granted it was the only class i took that summer. but still, it was the first time i took that class and it was over the summer. sometimes tech does weird things.....
