I know it's been a long time between entries, but there have been reasons.

Like more emergencies around the house (a hose under the bathroom sink leaking, for instance), and early Summer Vacation schlepping from one activity to the next.  (I swear I've been driving more these past three weeks of S.V. than I've driven the 3 months prior to it.)

Of all the things I could say about my childhood, this was not one of them.

I was never under any pressure to choose a certain career, but there was one time when I was discouraged from a particular career path.
