I selected that little self-serving title because I've finally cleaned up the basement enough that the kids can actually use it now.

As a little side bonus, we have enough space that I could bring out lmlawson 's old college stereo, complete with record player. The belt on the belt drive and the needle needed replacement, but thankfully there are websites ( Read more... )

I replaced the studio version from YouTube with a live version. Fewer disturbing images that way, unless the sight of 80's hairdos is scary.

Huey Lewis and the News was my very first concert. :) I saw them again, years later, when I was a full-fledged adult. They're actually coming around again sometime soon (can you believe it???) but Ben and I decided to pass. Great tunes, though. What a voice!

I've never seen them in concert, but a college roommate once saw them twice in one year. The album was lmlawson's, and I've shamelessly played it a lot since we got her stereo fixed up. That and John Cougar Mellencamp's "Uh-Huh" (the one with Crumbling Down and The Authority Song.)
