Okay, not really.

But we're getting the duct sealing finished up today.  What that means is that we've got a new heat pump, new blower system, and newly sealed ducts, and hopefully the end of our troubles with our heat pump for a looong time.

It's only 99F out right now, anyway.

"When you get the van's registration updated today, make sure you get a new license plate," she said.

"It's rusting, and we need to replace it," she said.

"It shouldn't take more than a few minutes," she said.

Four hours and two trips to Home Depot later, the license plates have finally been replaced.

I selected that little self-serving title because I've finally cleaned up the basement enough that the kids can actually use it now.

As a little side bonus, we have enough space that I could bring out lmlawson 's old college stereo, complete with record player.  The belt on the belt drive and the needle needed replacement, but thankfully there are websites ( Read more... )

Right now, at 10:16 PM our back porch shows 86 degrees Fahrenheit.  Between that and the humidity, I'd rather melt.

I know that the East Coast has been getting hit harder by the heat, but it ain't no picnic here, either.

When does Fall start again?

You know how you hope that the day starts out fine, or at least without a disaster?
