I'm at work right now so lacking in photoshop, but I'll see what I can come up with when I get home if someone hasn't already made one that you are absolutely in love with.

*blushes* Couple of questions, do you want Rose and the Tardis in the icon or just 10? Do you mind if I play with other pictures of them or does it have to be those two?

You may play around with whatever pics you wish, of course! My only requirements are that (a) - the icon have either Rose or Ten in it, with a wintry background, and (b) - if using Ten, pls to be avoiding the blue suit.

*hugs* Thanks!

Do you mind if the images are altered to a different color space so one is not trying to overlay/merge stuff that otherwise wouldn't match?

I have no idea what that means, but whatever needs to be done to make it work is fine - that's why I have multiple images to choose from!

And thank you!

What I meant was something like what I've done with these, because the three sources were all lit very differently. These are two options - one with blur applied to the background. Since Ten was blurry (and I therefore blurred Rose to match), I wasn't sure whether you'd want the background blurred in addition to match that a bit better. Please let me know if this is the sort of thing you had in mind: if not, you might want to check other sources for pictures of the Doctor and Rose like David-Tennant, Billie-Piper, the Tragical History Tour, billiepiperfan, and davidtennant fan.

These are banners, obviously, rather than icons. I'm not sure that you'll be able to get a fully discernable, Doctor, Rose and Ice Planet all in an icon, but give me a mo and I shall have a try or two for that as well.

Here's an icon, to go with the banners. I sharpened everything at the end here, due to the decreased size.

Wow. These are great. One request - I'm ok with not having Rose in the picture (blasphemy, I know) in favor of being able to see the ice in the background. Would you be ok with cropping her out?

I love the Tooth and Claw Doctor (and he's badly Photoshopped into that image already, so he ought to come out of it easily enough ;)).

Also, looks like you're working on that story, huh? :)

I like that one too, but it might not work as well on the ice pics.

And yeah - plot is pretty much figured out. I hate to write stuff without a road map in hand.

The ice is a dead give-away, isn't it?

I saw your post earlier and it inspired me to play with photoshop! I know you have an icon already but I had so much fun with some of the photos. I made a banner and an icon, but I have no idea how to insert them in a comment. :(

Can anyone tell me how?

Hopefully this works. mtemplar_fic August 20 2008, 02:35:06 UTC
Ooooh! Maybe we'll have to have a vote. First step is to upload your pics to an image hosting service - I use photobucket, myself. Once you upload, you should find a code with your pic for sharing. For example, here's the coding for the pic of Ten/Rose that I used:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v408/mtemplar/xmas3.jpg

It only shows up as a link unless you embed it within the LJ codes [img src="INSERT YOUR LINK HERE" /]

Insert the entire link between the quotes, including the http.

[img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v408/mtemplar/xmas3.jpg" /]

Final step - change the brackets on either end to the left < and right > arrows, and you should be good to go.
