In my neck of the woods, they're like giant pests. City folk get mice or rats. We can get those, plus deer. The deer are by far more destructive. One deer can destroy your entire garden in one night.

That said, they ARE lovely, too. How I feel about them comes in direct proportion to how much foliage I've lost that week.

They are that! They do not take us seriously as a threat at ALL. They keep out of arm's reach when we're outside, but don't really worry about us. I'm often torn between pleasure and exasperation at this.

L love deer, but then again I live in the suburbs. When I was out in the country I loathed them after a while. They crap everywhere and eat the plants and make noises. Louis C.K. does a bit concerning this very issue. He's dead on right! LOL!
