:: Work has been tiring but good. I feel like there's a certain stability in my life. Working in Harrods was never on the top of my list (or in my list for that matter) but I'm glad I took the job. I was a bit bewildered when I got the offer and was called in for the interview, because even though I have a great CV, I don't have a great CV for that ( Read more... )

Hey!Great to see your lovely face! :)
Oh, I don't have a clue about that Clive Christian too, but it has been very interesting to read your post, believe me. It's a new experience and that's good.
BTW, I hate to wear certain type of clothes for a job. I mean, if I want to be in high heels it's my choice. I am happy that nobody tells me what to wear in my job, but it's hard when you have visits there and the jacket must be put. But I guess, that Harrods and other places are different.
Good luck with the job!!

I look really weird in that pic! Haha! Never mind! It's the badge that's important!

It's a pretty interesting company. You should check it out. And you're right. New experiences are good. But the clothes thing is really getting to me. They have VERY strict rules. I mean you can't wear black pants, they have to be black SUIT pants. I mean really, who will notice?!

Thanks for your kind works sweetie!

Oh, Harrods? Well, I should go to London too first :D...But those strick rules, come on, no! I remember there was a quotation on The Devil Wears Prada book:

"Beware of all enterprises that require new clothes." (Thoreau)

And I really agree. In fact, I just have two complete suits, because I prefer to buy jackets and suit pants in a separate way...Difference between black pants and suit pants? It doesn't make sense, I think, but hey, it's interesting to know this.

Many people don't follow the dress-code regulations because they're very restrictive and kinda stupid. If you look neat, well presented and clean, why not be able to wear black pants or black jeans?!

You should def visit London! You'll love it! So many places with literary and historical significance!
