A Soft Remembrance

Jun 09, 2011 09:30

Kalinda's body was a little sore, the dull ache one would get after a strenous workout or a jog. She walked out of the elevator with sunglasses on and the same clothes from the night before. Her blouse was half buttoned. Kalinda was leaving Lana's hotel room humming lowly and a small smile creeping onto her lips as she reached the lobby.

She had a flashback to the night before, the memory began with white wine over dinner at the bistro and ended with soft sighs in a dimly lit room. Lip gloss on her skin and damp hair on her shoulder.

Dinner was for the job offer, which didn't take much. Lana seemed surprised that was the cause for their meeting. "Well, I never thought I'd see the day." She folded her fingers and smirked and then assured Kalinda that the job was hers. In passing she nervously mentioned the FBI investigation to Kalinda. She knew Kalinda well enough to know she wasn't going to get anything so didn't go much further into it except for saying "...You're not a person of interest at the moment."

In her head she was telling herself that the FBI investigation was definitely shut and even if it wasn't she didn't want to face that reality just yet. Maybe Lana didn't either, the agent's eyes went from glowing to apprehensive.

She changed the subject, "Okay, I'll work on getting you approved for the position." Lana's voice was firm as her eyes perused Kalinda up and down. "...Now what else do you want." Lana's eyes danced, her words were challenging and filled with desire, her stare lingered on Kalinda's cleavage for a moment.

Kalinda returned an equally challenging stare, downed her glasss of wine, leaned forward and whispered "To go for a walk."

The hotel was for another offer, within three minutes, they walked pretty much to the corner until they could hail a cab. The hotel wasn't even a mile away. Which worked for her, it was only a 8 minute ride. The cab ride was quiet. Lana placed her hand unabashedly on Kalinda's thigh. They shared a knowing stare throughout the ride. When they reached the hotel, Kalinda smiled to herself and thought about how it was amusing she always ended up alone with the brunette. Lana booked the room and for once didn't brag about the perks of being a Fed. She was oddly quiet, no come ons, just a soft whisper of 'I want you so bad.' when they got in the elevator, Kalinda was speechless her senses were a little numb. There was only carnal desire that ached in the pit of her stomach. Her pulse raced and her dark eyes were most glazed over at that moment. She followed behind the FBI agent, quietly and silently watching the sway of her hips until they got to the hotel room '588' and things slowed down. When she got into the room, she pushed the agent softly against the wall and kissed her receiving a welcoming kiss back from the agent. Kalinda could see where things were going with the shedding of clothing and fleeting hands brushing over bare skin, groping, cupping and tangling of fingers in hair. Although she was pretty sure that the FBI agent had planned this all along.

When she woke in the morning, Lana was nestled near her shoulder with her arms possesively around her. Her embrace was soft and warm, Kalinda didn't remember falling asleep but did recall climaxing strongly, with tight closed eyes and a bite of her lip to confine a throaty moan.

She didn't give much of an explanation as she left, she woke Lana up while she was shuffling things around and getting dress. 'Hello beautiful' Lana greeted her with a satisfied smile and a yawn. When she told Lana she was leaving, the agent's smile faded a little "Am I going to see you later?"

"If you want to..." Kalinda paused. "You have my number."

"Okay." Lana nodded before she closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

She now sat in the car remembering the night before. The hickey near her collarbone was a nice reminder of the fun she had the night before. She hadn't been able to relax for days and for a moment she forgot about the demise of her friendship with Alicia. Kalinda thought to herself that maybe the sadness and overwhelming emotions would be back by the end of the day but she tried for the moment to appreciate what just happened the night before. The morning sun added to her calmness as she drove off feeling content.
