I should probably do that; I've already got a PayPal account. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hm: the closest thing I see to that is "PayPal Credit" and when I follow the links, I don't find anything mentioning a physical card. Can you tell me more about how yours works?

Someone ganked my visa card a couple of months ago: spent $$$ on garden supplies and gift cards totaling $5,000. Noone could give me an explanation why they didn't question it, since it was the Home Depot in Miami, FL. It has been disputed, reversed, and reported to local police as well as federals.

Your bank's Fraud Department should have contacted YOU, not made you have to contact THEM 5 days later ( ... )

My former credit union in Arkansas was good like yours in contacting me about suspicious purchases - including the once-a-year renewal fee on my website host service!

This bank does not have anyone 'at home' at the HQ over weekends; we mostly picked it when we first moved to MS because it was where Morris's mom had HER account. I also cannot make deposits at the ATM machine like I used to at the Bank of America branches in Little Rock.

If anything similar happens again, I will give serious thought to comparison shopping for a different bank. I haven't seen any BofA branches here, but Regions has a bunch of branches.

I could not find a place that did the imprinting, but I *have* bought a reloadable Visa card. I'll be testing it out over this coming weekend, driving to Atlanta for the GAFIA housefilk, buying the gasoline for my truck.
