I'm just glad they didn't trade him to the Vikes. I mean, not that he's not a great player, but he's only good for a couple more years at most and we have a nasty track record at buying older players to try to bail us out of a bad situation. Warren Moon, anyone?

I am kind of sorry that Favre didn't either stay retired or stay with the Packers. He left kind of nobly and came back kind of ignobly, I think.
I do remember Warren Moon...I think he got a couple ticks in the W column against the Pack. I don't like Brad Childress, eithcer...he seems like an asshat. I agree on your assessment of Favre. I mean, of course he should play if he wants, but citing half truths, creating hyperbole and getting coaches in trouble for trying to placate him even left his loyalists with a bad taste in their mouths. We used to think he could walk on water. I hope he ends up back in Green Bay someday...as a coach or at least a sympathizer after all this. He broke our hearts, really. And, frankly, watching all the press with the Jets, and thier "Broadway Brett" and the look of shellshock on his face throughout this makes this all the more bizzare, if it could ever get more bizzare.
