Oh, yes! This is exactly it! Spot on Sara in thoughts, words and deeds! I love how the beginning is all out of focus and vaguely detailed with only a few clear spots like LJ and the feel of the newspaper in her hands and the needle in her arm and the key through the fabric of her jeans and then we get clearer once she's away from immediate trauma. I really loved the last little bit, waiting for Michael I got all het up and impatient for him to appear and then he was there and EEE! Brilliant work :)

Wonderful, Jen. I know this was a big project, and I'm so glad you took it on.

I could pull about a hundred quotes from this to show you exactly how the characters are completely true (from Sara of course all the way to Gretchen) but instead, I'll just say that until such a time that we get an explanation for Sara's time in captivity on the show, this is now my canon.

This is more than a 'missing scene fic'. It fills in a huge block of time that has remained gaping, and it's pitch-perfect.
