Moving House < Everything

Apr 11, 2008 16:46

We picked up the keys to the new house today. We took the dog with us, so we could introduce him to his new home a few days before we officially move in. He behaved as though we were visiting friends, ie quite well, and he was rather excited at the sight of the pool. He likes to swim, you see, although he does tend to stick to dog-paddling. *g ( Read more... )

Thanks, darling. We have a lot of work ahead of us to recreate our 'home' in the new place, but we'll get there.

The last paragraph about your Hubby made me laugh for some reason. :P
Men! Heh.

I'm sure you'll find out what all the keys are used for, but some may not even are used for anything.... That happens lol.

Hows' your packing coming?

The problem is that the Lions shop at The Gabba is now selling Brisbane Lions garden gnomes. I seriously fear he is not joking, lol!

The packing is...uninspired. I've been buying a heap of those A3 plastic boxes with wheels and lids from Crazy Clarks and they've been fabulous for breakables - we'll be using them for storage at the other end. The hardest stuff is still to come, sadly - the kitchen, the bathroom and the 'garage' stuff. Meep.

The downside of this is that my husband had been making joking remarks about getting some amusing garden gnomes, and the more I think about it, the less certain I am that he's joking. Halp!

Ooops! Then I should cancel the one I ordered for you from here, then, should I?? ;)

(glad the new house is what you remember, and yay! for someone else cleaning! :)

No gnomes, oh please, don't. You have to put your foot down. LOL

I am glad everything is moving along. Don't you have any redecorating to do like walls, floors or painting? If not, that's great because that is so time consuming.
Keep packing and try not to stress. Just think about that pool.
*hugs you*

No gnomes if I can help it.

There is some retouching to be done here and there, but it can wait until we've moved in. I have to make sure *this* place is all good before then, lol!

I put my feet in the pool tonight when we went over to take some stuff. It was COLD.

Oh! They didn't clean thoroughly? Ew. One good thing about that is that the real estate is not picky, and so wont be for you guys either come inspection times :D

Yes, there is that, but then I'm also thinking, "So, we paid all that security deposit for...what, exactly?"
