Pure dead brilliant. I love it. So raw and powerful and tragic. I tell ya, the way some of you girls write these boys they would have been more suited to a Shakespearean tragedy.

Ignoring the sting of his still-chafed wrists, Michael keeps digging, cement crumbling urgently beneath his fingertips, because he has no intention of ever being shackled again.
