What a heartbreaking fantasy.

I just got done watching Adventureland with a very depressed friend. (The one that's been out of work for five years, who is talking about trying to get committed to a mental hospital, or suiciding, because she can't cope with other people's demands.)

By the way, although Adventureland was done by the guys that did the sexist and stupid Superbad, it is really a sweet and sentimental story of loves won, lost and skewed in the world of a crappy New Jersey amusement park. The kind of life of dating and love and romance that I have never known.

This cartoon is so sweet and appropriate and charming. It made me tear up. Made me wish I could be 14 again and try to do it all over again. Thanks, lovely lady.
