I'm being HORRIBLY productive at work, though. (Word choice totally intentional.)

in '98 we had strong "straight line" winds. (I still question that because somehow the garage door wound up taking out the wooden stairs to our apartment and breaking in our front door). I was pregnant. I remember crouching in the closet doorway in our bedroom and thinking the whole place was was going to come down around me and feeling such terror for the tiny being inside me. Later, when I saw the debris that came in the front room and hit the recliner where I had been napping until my father-in-law called and warned me of the storm, I totally broke down. We were lucky, because most of the damage was minimal. However, I miscarried shortly after and have always thought it was related to the stress from that. I will never forget that should like a freight train bearing down on my and the ripping and crashing.
